Aufgaben

  • Manage and oversee all general ledger accounting activities for Germany, Belgium, and France
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable local GAAP
  • Coordinate intercompany accounting and reconciliations across entities
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages and perform ad hoc financial analyses
  • Partner closely with corporate finance and external tax advisors
  • Support reporting requirements, audits, and information requests across the organization
  • Contribute to acquisition integrations and process harmonization
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements in Germany, Belgium, and France
  • Oversee VAT, payroll accounting, and statutory filings in coordination with external advisors
  • Serve as primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and local authorities
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls aligned with private equity and group standards
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, systems, and controls
  • Support ERP and system enhancements or implementations as needed

Hard skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multinational operations
  • Experience working with European local jurisdictions, specifically Germany, while reporting to a US parent company
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)
  • Experience covering Germany, Belgium and/or France (preferred)
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) (preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills (preferred)
  • Strong technical accounting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, private equity–driven environment
  • High attention to detail with a pragmatic, business-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills across cultures and functions
  • Proven ability to lead people and manage multiple priorities
