Aufgaben

  • Creatively identifying leads for vertical market software businesses that meet our strategic criteria and specific metrics.
  • Maintaining and building a proprietary database of industry contacts.
  • Developing and conducting prospecting campaigns through digital media, outbound cold calling, email sequences, in-person meetings, and industry events.
  • Consistently making direct outreach to business owners and executives, confidently navigating gatekeepers, and initiating compelling conversations.
  • Demonstrating creativity, persistence, and credibility in reaching out to Owners, Operators, and C-Suite leadership.
  • Gathering target company information and qualifying opportunities for potential acquisition.
  • Presenting high-potential opportunities to the internal M&A team and supporting progression to NDA or deeper evaluation.
  • Traveling to attend tradeshows, prospecting trips, and in-person meetings as needed (up to 20%).

Hard skills

  • Fluency in English and German is a must.
  • Excellent academic performance in an undergraduate business degree; a Master’s degree from a top-tier school is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated success with cold calling and outbound prospecting—confident in initiating conversations with founders and C-level executives.
  • 4+ years of experience in a business development, lead generation, or outbound sales role, ideally in a B2B or M&A environment.
  • Ability to manage a pipeline of leads and consistently exceed outreach and engagement targets.
  • Confident in presenting to business owners and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound business judgment.
  • Experience in M&A, software, or fintech is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Professional demeanor, excellent time management, and a persistent, independent work ethic.
  • Collaborative spirit with the ability to work across remote teams and cultural backgrounds.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.
