Maintaining and building a proprietary database of industry contacts.
Developing and conducting prospecting campaigns through digital media, outbound cold calling, email sequences, in-person meetings, and industry events.
Consistently making direct outreach to business owners and executives, confidently navigating gatekeepers, and initiating compelling conversations.
Demonstrating creativity, persistence, and credibility in reaching out to Owners, Operators, and C-Suite leadership.
Gathering target company information and qualifying opportunities for potential acquisition.
Presenting high-potential opportunities to the internal M&A team and supporting progression to NDA or deeper evaluation.
Traveling to attend tradeshows, prospecting trips, and in-person meetings as needed (up to 20%).
Hard skills
Fluency in English and German is a must.
Excellent academic performance in an undergraduate business degree; a Master’s degree from a top-tier school is a plus.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated success with cold calling and outbound prospecting—confident in initiating conversations with founders and C-level executives.
4+ years of experience in a business development, lead generation, or outbound sales role, ideally in a B2B or M&A environment.
Ability to manage a pipeline of leads and consistently exceed outreach and engagement targets.
Confident in presenting to business owners and executive-level stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and sound business judgment.
Experience in M&A, software, or fintech is considered an asset.
Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.

Collaborative spirit with the ability to work across remote teams and cultural backgrounds.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.
