Aufgaben
- Analyze and assess customer requirements and RFQs (Requests for Quotation)
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Quality, Logistics, Purchasing) to gather technical and financial inputs
- Evaluate the feasibility of customer projects in terms of cost, timeline, and technical complexity
- Define and quantify the resources required (man-hours, investments, tools, etc.)
- Prepare detailed project costings, including products, processes, tooling, and engineering activities
- Present and explain costing files and technical proposals to internal stakeholders and customers
- Facilitate acquisition phase meetings and ensure alignment across departments
- Suggest technical or process alternatives to improve the quality/cost/timing balance
- Continuously update and improve costing databases and tools based on project feedback and learnings
Hard skills
- Degree in Engineering (Master’s or equivalent), preferably in plastics processing, mechanical, or industrial engineering
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in project costing, preferably in an industrial environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in plastic injection, tooling, assembly, and sheathing
- Proficient in costing techniques and project budgeting
- Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to translate technical inputs into clear cost estimations
- Familiarity with collaborative tools (e.g., Teams, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Knowledge of quality and process optimization principles
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Customer-oriented mindset with a sense of ownership and responsibility
- Adaptable, curious, and proactive in identifying cost-saving opportunities
