Tasks

  • Plan, coordinate, and control development teams at the IIX level to ensure timely delivery within time, quality, and budget across all release clusters of the End-to-End Architecture 1.2
  • Oversee technical scheduling, maturity planning, and release management, ensuring on-time implementation and approval of sub-systems
  • Resolve conflicting goals regarding content, technology, and timelines within sub-systems, ensuring smooth execution
  • Track and manage the maturity levels of ECU integration, function ramp-up, cross-sectional technologies, and requirements implementation
  • Identify, prioritize, and mitigate technical risks and errors at the solution/sub-system level, escalating critical issues to Solution Leads within IIX or to relevant CARIAD Tech Center Leads as needed
  • Ensure adherence to project framework conditions for sub-system development, including allocated resources and supplier capacities
  • Confirm and prioritize Delivery Unit portfolio content to align with project goals and technical feasibility
  • Track the release readiness of products for specific compound or cluster releases and ensure the execution of all release artifacts within the IIX scope

Hard skills

  • University degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven (senior) leadership experience delivering complex Infotainment software and hardware solutions, ideally within a multi-brand context
  • In-depth understanding of the automotive infotainment landscape; knowledge of the Volkswagen Group infotainment solution is a plus
  • Broad range of knowledge and skills in one or more of the following fields: Android OS and Applications, Linux, Embedded systems, vehicle networking and AI
  • Strong analytical and communication skills as well as organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to quickly solve complex issues
  • Experience in agile development (SAFe is a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
