Tasks

  • Lead vehicle chassis tuning including kinematics, air suspension, shock absorber, ARB, bushings, tires, EPS, ESP, and chassis performance evaluations to develop a luxury driving character.
  • Ensure chassis and vehicle dynamics design meets targets during the digital simulation phase.
  • Manage benchmark chassis performance evaluations through subjective and objective testing.
  • Define and align chassis performance targets, developing measures in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Enhance chassis performance development procedures, tuning processes, and testing methods and standards.
  • Lead the development of CDC, EPS, and other relevant chassis control calibration strategies.
  • Identify and address customer-related parameters based on field research and feedback to optimize customer pain points.
  • Develop and integrate new chassis functions and technologies for future productions.
  • Identify and resolve R&H related issues.

Hard skills

  • Bachelor's, Master's or higher degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a similar field.
  • Over 15 years of experience in luxury brand vehicle subjective evaluation and chassis tuning.
  • Experience in developing three or more luxury vehicles from concept to SOP.
  • Expert-level driving skills and subjective assessment skills, with experience in extreme driving.
  • Proficient in the vehicle development process, particularly chassis development.
  • Experience in air suspension tuning; active suspension development or tuning experience is a plus.
  • Highly experienced in setting chassis performance targets and breaking them down to system-level requirements with CAE team support.
  • Deep knowledge of chassis layout, hardpoint setting, parameters value, and target setting.
  • Experienced with R&H simulation, measurement, and chassis tuning software and tools.
  • Advanced MS Office skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written) is mandatory.
  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with a fast learning ability, proactive and creative.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong self-confidence and a results-oriented work philosophy.
  • Willingness to travel to China (up to 20%).
