Tasks

  • The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for marketing efforts in our DACH markets, with a focus on Germany.
  • Manage marketing department and project calendars to ensure deadlines are met. Coordinate, oversee and streamline the scheduling and production of a wide range of marketing communications and collaterals including regional websites and social media, print adverts, photography, videography and other collateral materials.
  • Act as the liaison between the centralised creative/marketing department and the local commercial team to coordinate marketing material creation and help schedule assigned projects, ensure a smooth work flow and timely production of projects.
  • Write copy, translate and edit content to support print and digital publications including eblasts, newsletters, brochures, print ads and other collateral materials for the local market.
  • Secure story leads, application photos and videos to coordinate press coverage and other PR efforts in close coordination with the PR Manager.
  • Assist in the formulation/implementation of regional and global marketing strategies, initiatives and campaigns. Report on the progress on a regular basis.
  • Manage digital communication and social media to develop brand awareness in the local market. This includes social media posts, advertising, as well as video production.
  • Collaborate with customers/influencers to create a joint digital communication strategy.
  • Spend a minimum of two days/month in the field learning about customers and end users.
  • Work with regional industry media to plan digital and print advertising, ensure editorial coverage and maintain relationships with editors and journalists.
  • Help plan, participate in and staff trade shows and promotional events across Germany and Europe as needed.
  • Manage and grow the local marketing/sales database.
  • Liaise and negotiate with outside suppliers for promotional goods, printing services and other materials. Manage the inventory and distribution of said marketing materials
  • Work closely with the commercial team to set up customer programs and seasonal promotions with our B2C retailers. Create a quarterly report with the program’s progress.

Hard skills

  • Bilingual: English/German. The ability to speak French is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills. You’re able to provide nuanced and constructive feedback to international marketing campaigns. You’re comfortable talking to customers, magazine editors and stakeholder. Our team and industry is very international, and so are you.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, creative development or public relations, preferably supporting a global brand.
  • Hands on and no-nonsense mentality, ready to step up and take control.
  • Experience in copywriting and proofreading as well as familiarity with graphic design. Working knowledge of photography, video camera and editing systems preferred
  • Demonstrated project management experience. Must be able to work independently, move projects forward, prioritise task and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to use customer research and metrics to back up intuition.
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in entertainment technology and the associated marketplace is a plus.
