Mechanical Product Architect (m/f/d) eAxle

• As our new Product Architect (m/f/d) at the Erlangen site you act as a domain expert for the mechanical engineering of the mechanical eAxle product. As a part of an international team, you are responsible for the initial and later structure of projects requiring eAxle designs, concerning MD related topics in relation to product feasibility, requirements, standards and risk mitigation. Your mission for an electrified future:
• You analyse customer, legal and internal requirements and create mechanical design concepts according to them.
• In alignment with the management and the team, you define assembly set ups, define interfaces and RASI charts and start D-FMEAs.
• You hold responsibility for the technical content of a project concerning design reviews, compliance to standards, risk assessments.
• You recommend technologies and manufacturing processes.
• You develop base technology, drive innovations, create standards, invention disclosure.
• You plan work packages.

• You hold a university degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a comparable professional education.
• You have a proven track record in mechanical design of drive train components, also concerning related sub-components (gear sets, bearings, tooth geometry) development.
• You have excellent knowledge of gear box design and handling NVH issues.
• You are experienced in leading internal and external team members, partners and suppliers, being a role model concerning used technologies and manufacturing processes of assemblies and parts.
• You are skilled in the usage of PLM and CAD system (NX/Catia), being self-organised and proactive handling of automotive and internal standards and regulations.
• You are fluent in English, ideally also fluent in German.
