We are looking for dedicated battery cell specialists to further expand our activities in the development of lithium-ion cells. Together with an international development team, you will work on the development and industrialization of long-lasting, safe and sustainable battery cells. Based in Stuttgart, Germany, you will be the cell component responsible for one of our vehicle projects and work with cell suppliers and internal experts around the globe.
• Tasks:
• As a development engineer you will take responsibility for the battery cell within our series projects
• Furthermore YOU will...
• ...identify suppliers and technologies for the series project and manage activities to optimize cell design with regard to energy density, service life and cost efficiency in a close collaboration with internal experts
• ...create and maintain specifications in accordance with current internal requirements, laws and standards and coordinate these with the supplier
• ..create, maintain and track schedules and manage the different sample phases at the supplier (including milestones, DVP&R, etc.)
• ...document the development progress, ensure that deadlines, costs and quality targets are met and release the component in the relevant systems
• ...represent the interface in the development process for the cell between the relevant stakeholders
• ...report to the relevant committees and management during the whole series development process

• Qualifications:
• Studies: Dipl .-Ing., Master in Chemistry, Business Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field. PhD preferred
• Experience and specific knowledge:
• Several years of professional experience in the series development of battery cells with international partners/suppliers in the automotive industry
• Several years of practice in project management
• In-depth knowledge of lithium ion cells for automotive applications
• Fundamental knowledge in validation of lithium ion cells
• Experience with relevant documentation tools such as DOORS, Engineering Client, etc.
• Very good coordination and communication skills in order to manage a wide range of interface partners/ suppliers
• Structured, methodical thinking in order to coordinate the large number of interfaces and details
• Ability to work in a team and cooperate in an international working environment
• Willingness to undertake occasional international business trips
• Good German and English skills spoken and written
