We are seeking to recruit one Regional Compliance Officer (f/m/d) for the West African Region (Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, The Gambia, Liberia) as well as one Regional Compliance Officer (f/m/d) for the East African Region (Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa, DR Congo) of our Area Africa-Eastern Mediterranean Basin.
The Regional Compliance Officer is monitoring and driving all relevant compliance-related topics, including the prevention of corruption, anti-money laundering, trade sanctions, human rights, data protection and compliance incident management.
In the position as Regional Compliance Officer you will be empowered to help our compliance management in the region to advance and improve. You will be closely collaborating with the entire Group Compliance & Data Protection team to responsibly convey and practically apply our Group standards in the region. You will be guiding and training our Country Compliance Officers and consulting them in handling compliance cases. The combination of both Group and Country tasks will give you the opportunity to gain an overview of compliance matters from different organisational angles and create meaningful synergies. You will also be in contact with various Group and Country departments giving you valuable insights into Heidelberg Materialsβ business and operations.
You will be part of the Group Compliance & Data Protection team and report directly to the Head of Compliance & Data Protection. The position is located in Heidelberg, Germany, but requires frequent traveling to Africa (up to 50% of your working time). A willingness to relocate in the future is a prerequisite for this position.
