  • WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • The Expert Track Trainee Program will give you the possibility to be part of connected pools of experts with diverse technical backgrounds at Daimler Truck, Daimler Buses or Daimler Truck Financial Services in various German locations.
  • The Expert Track is an alternative to a classical entry position. You will be working in globally connected projects and flexibel teams. Take your chance to develop in your area of competence through project-based working, exchange ideas with like-minded experts, receive support from the expert coaches and make use of training & development opportunities tailored to your needs.
  • The 36 months Expert Track offers you the following aspects:
  • Onboarding within predefined home area
  • Connect with your expert coach to get support & exchange ideas
  • You will have the possibility to shape the future of transportation within highly relevant projects
  • Get the opportunity to participate in interesting and valuable trainings
  • You will have a lot of responsibility in actively driving your topics forward, by bringing in your competences, as well as implementing your solutions
  • After 36 months of successful and intense project rotations you will return to your home area. Your new skills, experiences and your global network will be supporting you in your future task.
  • Your home area could be in one of the following departments:
  • Daimler Truck:
  • Our Advanced Engineering Team searches for and assesses new technologies to change the future transportation into an emission free and sustainable system. They are responsible for internal and external research, innovation management and advanced engineering for Mercedes Benz Trucks
  • Our CAE Trucks – Drivetrain Systems & CO2 department is responsible for the virtual development and validation of conventional and electrical drivetrain systems on component- and system level. The target is to always ensure best overall system performance and lifetime. One new strategic topic is the simulation of the electrical behavior of the HV system including all HV components
  • The goal of our Autonomous Technology Group (ATG) is to drive innovation in automated mobility as a key strategic technology. Together with their partners, Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) and Torc Robotics, they are focused to bring highly automated trucks to the road. ATG is pooling their competencies and technologies globally and using agile development methods and tools to learn quickly
  • Our Vehicle Connectivity Department as part of the Truck Technology division in Stuttgart is responsible for the global Telematics Platform as an electronic onboard device and their adapted components and integrated feature set. We are connecting the Truck with the rest of the world
  • Daimler Buses:
  • Our Technology & Validation department is responsible for all fuel cell and hydrogen research and development activities within Daimler Buses. This includes component and system development, integration and application into our electric drive vehicles. They just launched the current project: Daimler Buses eCitaro fuel cell vehicle successfully and showed again that innovation towards zero-emission sustainability is part of our philosophy
  • Our ZEV Technology Integration department integrates and applys innovative eDrive, driving comfort, driving safety and many other electrical/electronic systems in our new eCoach platform. To do this, they use modern and agile development methods, so the department consists mainly of product owners who integrate and apply the technologies in our eCoaches with their interdisciplinary agile teams

Hard skills

  • THAT’S WHY YOU ARE A MATCH
  • Bachelor/Master of Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Communications Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Business informatics or comparable field
  • You are experienced in robotics, autonomous technology, hydrogen systems and electrical or electronic components for vehicles
  • You feel joy about innovations with good feeling for customer needs and technical feasibility
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • You are a visionary and you always have the whole picture and the customer in mind
  • You are willing to question the status quo with new ideas and perspectives
  • A start-up mentality, that means being enthusiastic, motivated and pragmatic
  • Ability to work in a global and international culture
